Banksia:

There are ca. 170 species endemic to Australia and named after Sir Joseph Banks, with characteristic flower spikes and fruiting "cones". Species ranges from shrubs to trees up to 30 m.

Dryandra, a genus of 94 species, was was named in honour of Swedish botanist Jonas C. Dryander and considered a separate genus until early 2007, when it was merged into Banksia.

Grevillea:

There are ca. 360 species, common names: spider flower, silky oak and toothbrush plant. Height of species ranges from 50 cm to 35 m.

Hakea:

There are 149 species native to Australia and surrounding islands and named after Christian Ludwig von Hake. They can reach 1 to 6 m in height.
